2020 Oct 29th - WA committed to achieving ZERO EMISSIONS by 2050

 The Paris Agreement As a signatory to the Paris Agreement (2016) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Australia has committed to taking action on climate change and committed to reducing Australia’s emissions to 26-28% on 2005 levels by 2030. The Paris Agreement expressly recognises the importance of engagement at all levels of government and invites: Civil society, the private sector, financial institutions, cities and other subnational authorities to scale up their efforts and support actions to reduce emissions and/or to build resilience and decrease vulnerability to the adverse effects of climate change. committed to working with all sectors of the economy to achieve net zero emissions for our State by 2050.
